These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Pezel Finance (the "Service"), operated by Pezel Tech LLC("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
About the Service
Pezel Finance is a personal-finance dashboard that lets you import transactions, set budgets, model debt payoff, project retirement, and manage business or personal workspaces. You can use it for free for personal use; paid tiers (Solo Business, Team, Business) provide additional workspaces and features.
Accounts
To use most features you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate information (a valid email address).
- Keep your password confidential and not share it.
- Notify us immediately at security@pezeltech.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Be at least 13 years old (or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction). The Service is not designed for younger users.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Acceptable use
You may not:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users' accounts, or the underlying infrastructure
- Probe or test the security of the Service without prior authorization (responsible disclosure: security@pezeltech.com)
- Interfere with normal operation, including via scraping, automated imports that ignore reasonable rate limits, or denial-of-service attempts
- Reverse-engineer the Service except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law
- Use the Service to store data you do not have the right to use
- Resell or sublicense the Service to third parties without our written consent
Paid plans, billing, and cancellation
Some features are only available on paid tiers (Solo Business at $59.99/mo, Team at $21.99 per seat per month, Business at $49.99 per seat per month). Prices are shown at checkout and may change with at least 14 days' notice for existing subscribers.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By upgrading, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge the payment method on file at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation: you can cancel any time from your workspace settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features through that date. We do not pro-rate unused time, and we do not charge cancellation fees.
Refunds: we offer refunds at our discretion for clear billing errors and material Service unavailability. Contact hello@pezeltech.com within 30 days of the charge if you believe a refund is warranted.
Free trials: paid tiers include a 14-day free trial. We will not charge your payment method until the trial expires. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid charges.
Personal use is free forever. The personal-workspace feature set is provided free of charge. We may add features behind paid tiers in the future, but features available on the free personal tier as of the date you create your account will remain available on the free tier for at least 12 months, except where required by law or forced by a material change in our infrastructure costs.
Your data
You own everything you import, upload, or create in the Service. Granting us a license to host and process that data so we can render it back to you is the entire scope of the rights you grant us.
We will never sell your data, share it with advertisers, aggregate it for sale, or use it to train machine-learning models. Our handling of data is described in the Privacy Policy.
You can export your data as CSV from inside the Service at any time. If you delete your account, your workspace data is deleted within 30 days (see Privacy Policy for retention exceptions).
Workspace ownership and members
Every account has one free Personal workspace. Paid tiers add business workspaces. If you are the owner of a business workspace, you can invite members (Team and Business tiers only); members have read/write access to that workspace's data.
Owners are responsible for billing on their business workspaces. If you remove a member, they lose access immediately. If you transfer ownership, the new owner becomes responsible for billing going forward.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, brand, and documentation, is the property of Pezel Tech LLC or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service per these Terms.
You retain ownership of the data you upload to the Service.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
Not financial advice. Pezel Finance is a calculator and display tool. Numbers shown, including retirement Monte Carlo outcomes, debt payoff projections, savings rate, cash forecasts, and financial-health scores, are estimates based on the assumptions you provide. They are not personalized financial, tax, investment, or legal advice. Consult a licensed professional before making material financial decisions.
Not a bank. Pezel Finance does not move money, hold funds, or initiate transfers. It is a tool you use to record and analyze financial data you maintain elsewhere.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pezel Tech LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising from or related to your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100).
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Pezel Tech LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.
Termination
You can terminate your account at any time from Settings. We can suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms; in non-egregious cases we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to cure the violation first.
Upon termination, your access to the Service ends and your data is scheduled for deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Paid subscriptions stop renewing.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced via email to active users at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
